About Wendy


Wendy Templeton has been providing advice to individuals, families and business for over 25 years, and has appeared successfully before the Tax Court of Canada. Her experience includes the private practice of law, in house at a major financial institution, and tax practice at a major international accounting firm. The unique blending of tax and estate planning background provide clients with an excellent opportunity to explore the tax saving opportunities available as part of the estate planning process. In addition, personal tax planning opportunities can be identified.


Wendy gained her expertise from a background in private practice of law and both the accounting and financial services sector uniquely qualifies her to work with clients, their investment advisors and other professional advisors. Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners


Wendy participated in designing the four-course diploma program for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners of Canada (STEP) and has written three of the four academic texts used in the STEP diploma program.


Wendy has written, lectured and published extensively on estate and tax issues for professional and academic organizations including the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Most notable is her work with STEP with respect to the taxation of trusts and estates course for their Diploma program.

Wendy has been a member with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners for over 20 years.

Wendy is a past Chair of the Wills Trusts and Estates Section of the Canadian Bar Association and co-founded the Canadian Bar Association national Will, Estate, & Trust and Fundamentals Course.
